The Importance Of Character To Become An Alpha Male

Character is a word we have been hearing and reading about for a long long time. You probably heard about it from successful people, by reading their lives or heard your parents tell you about it’s presence and importance in your life about the IMPORTANCE OF CHARACTER.

But still don’t you think there’s still something missing about character that you don’t know? There’s something more to figure out about it? something more to learn about it?

Since the fact you’re reading this article i hope that you’re very serious about success and you know the importance of character. You want to develop yourself and keep pushing your boundaries.

Let me take the pleasure of letting you know that you’re exactly the kind of person i want to discuss with- the importance of CHARACTER.

Now there’s a quality that is often confused with character that is- Charisma. Charisma is often confused with character. So, first of all a quick differentiation.

Charisma – It is derived from a Greek word meaning the ability to elicit favor in other people. It’s a magnetic quality of personality that people respond to as if it were magic. It’s like a wand that controls power over others.

Character – It is derived from a Greek word meaning chiseled. A chisel is a sharp tool used to make granites and marble.

It is also used to discard of the useless stuff that get in the way in order to get down to the essential thing. The thing that really matters. Character isn’t a magic wand. It comes from chisel.

You have got to chisel your character out of the raw material of yourself just like a sculpture or a marble or a granite. Everything that happens, good or bad, is an opportunity for building your character.

Character doesn’t depend on other people or having other people to follow you. Character is something that you have and that you are. Charisma requires the presence of others while character is all about you.

A person of character looks within for the true source of inspirational energy.

Character is a result of hundreds and hundreds of choices that you make which gradually turns who you are at any given moment into who you want to be. Character isn’t something that you were born with and can’t change like your fingerprints.

>> 9 pillars of a high Character –

– Integrity and why doing the right thing is always in your best interest.

– Perseverance.

– Wisdom

– Personal Responsibility

Patience

Confidence

– Good Health

– Achievement . And why it can’t be measured by anything or anyone other than you and
your heart.

– Courage

  1. Integrity –

Say what you mean ,mean what you say.Do what you say you were going to do when you say you’re going to do it.That’s integrity. A clear correspondence between words and deeds.

Trust who you truly are. Be willing to pay the price which truth truly costs.Don’t be afraid to speak the truth. People look for reasons to believe in their leaders. They want to be led. They love a man with integrity.

It builds high-quality connections and has numerous benefits for individuals, contributing to greater well-being, reduced stress, increased engagement, and increased ability to learn.

They also have benefits for communities and organizations, contributing to enhanced cooperation, increased organizational loyalty, transmission of purpose, open dialogue, and adaptability.

Integrity helps in the following –

  • Respectful engagement
    • Effective task enabling
    • Trust

Always think of what’s at stake before making a decision. Hope of dishonest gain is the beginning of loss.

  1. Perseverance

Let’s discuss Class a bit.

What is Class?

Class is calling on reserved energy. Class is the ability to overcome any number of challenges. Class doesn’t mean you never get tired, what it means is you never show it.

Class doesn’t mean you never want to quit,it means you actually never do. Class is what makes the difference. It’s a very important element of a strong character.

Nowadays, all we give is excuses. We want something to be an escape goat for our failures. Mostly, Talent. We make an excuse that somebody is more talented. Or more equipped. Or more resourceful.

Well, to all these people all i want to say is, Why don’t you develop Class. And in the Long Run i promise you, you’ll win.

A river cuts through a rock not because of its power but because of its perseverance.

Now the question, Can you learn perseverance, like you learn to drive a car? I say yes. Yes it can be developed, overtime with conscious deliberate effort. My favourite method to develop perseverance is a personal list of challenging, well defined and highly rewarding Goals.

Wishing is the first step in setting goals. We start by wanting things to be at least a little bit different than they are and may dream about what it would be like if a miracle happened to make the wish come true.

“Wishes tell us something about what it means to be human. They frame for us our vision of what is important.”

Goals are the most important thing to an Ambitious person. If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.

The difference between a goal driven person and a normal person is just like the difference between a rich person driving sports car to a poor person living a mediocre life.

Goal setting is essential to individual and collective success for all people, at all levels of development. Luck happens, but goals do not achieve themselves!

Therefore we define a goal as an ambition, target, or aspiration that will require awareness, planning, and action to attain.

The right kind of Goals –

  • Specific and challenging
    • Measurable and have the opportunity to produce feedback
    • Exciting and Magnetic
    • Value driven
    • Able to create feelings of independence, connectedness, and competence
    • Capable of stimulating the “flow state”

Make mini-goals and keep finishing them without an excuse. Overtime you’ll start reaching towards bigger goals and also develop perseverance.

Perseverance is as important to goal’s fulfillment as gasoline is to driving a car.

The opposite of perseverance is Procrastination. Perseverance means you never quit.Procrastination means you haven’t even started.

The main base of Procrastination is fear of failure. The best way to end procrastination is to break long daunting tasks into doable manageable small pieces so that they don’t seem too daunting.

Move forward one step at a time. People of strong character take pride in what they can do for others. Challenge yourself to become a person like that.

  1. Wisdom

Wisdom is infinite. There’s always something more to know and there will always be more room in your brain to grow for everything you learn.

Live and look around you, and think about what you see and hear. You have got to live and experience things in order to get wisdom.

The true sources of wisdom lie nowhere but within ourselves. Wisdom is a quality we must earn and learn on our own.

REMEMBER:

There are no final answers to anything.

There’s always something more to ask something more to think, something more to ponder upon. So, don’t create an ideology and lock your brain into a permanent thinking.

Everything in this universe is subject to change. The fool is always reaching his destination, the wise always wonder how much further there’s to go.

It’s wisdom that provides a sense of life’s value and all the efforts that have been worthwhile.

 Some Nuggets on wisdom –

– Be honest

Honesty is the first chapter of the book of wisdom. Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

– Treat people fairly

The only way to be loved is to be lovable. You always get back more than you give away.If you don’t give any you won’t get any. Respond intelligently even to unintelligent treatment.

Be nice to people and if they are not nice to you -don’t be nasty -just avoid them in the future.

– Don’t take life too seriously

Life is too important to be taken seriously. Have perspective.Have a positive attitude.

– Have reasonable expectations

Blessed is he that expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed. If we don’t hope for much, reality often beats our expectations.

If we always expect the best or have unreal expectations, we are often disappointed. We feel worse and make bad judgments.

– Be curious and open-minded. Always ask “why”

Curiosity is one of the permanent and certain characteristics of a vigorous mind.

– Live in the present

The superior man does not waste himself on what is distant, on what is absent. He stands in the here and now, in the real situation.

Wisdom is wealth of the heart, mind and soul. A fulfilled life requires meaning as well as substance.

REMEMBER :

Wisdom is a process not a destination.

  1. Personal Responsibility

You must always take the responsibility and the weight of doing something big on your shoulders. There should be no possibilities of excuses,no blaming others, no second guessing.

You must always accept responsibility eagerly and with confidence.

Accepting responsibility is one of the highest forms of human maturity. A willingness to be accountable,to put yourself on the line is one of the highest traits of GREATNESS.

” Responsibility is the price of Greatness.” – Winston Churchill

Becoming responsible means you accept the consequences of your action. And even further than that responsibility means you look to yourself as the source of everything that happens to you.

It means that you assume command. You must always accept responsibility for your own destiny, plain and simple.

REMEMBER:

You’re the cause, not the effect.

Whenever you suffer from problems, difficulties and failures in your life always know and say that it’s all your fault and you’re going to do something about it, in fact a lot about it.

The great thing about excuses and a dangerous one too is that excuses are everywhere waiting to be used. Anybody can have an excuse for absolutely anything.

A strong character assumes responsibility. If you want to be a leader you must take responsibility for whatever happens.

As a leader you have got to take responsibility for training your sub-ordinates for the challenges they’ll face. And if the result is not successful then you must take responsibility for the failure and for not training them adequately.

Choose the standard you want to live by and follow through on. You need to be good, you need to be ethical, you need to be moral and you need to build yourself and chisel yourself in order to have a high character.

You won’t just reach your maximum potential just like that, there needs to be a conscious ongoing acceptance of responsibility for what you do and who you really are.

  1. Patience

  1. Confidence

  1. Good Health

What is good health? Is it a state of our emotional being? Our physical being? Our mental thought process? And how is it an element of strong character?

If you have your health you have everything. Lose your health and there isn’t enough money or anything in this world to make your life fulfilling and satisfying.

Life becomes worthless without a good health.

Being a person of good character is the best prescription for a strong mind and strong body.

Staying healthy is the only way to get the good part from all the parts of life. It’s the way you stay strong and the way you stay interested. It’s where the mind and body meet. Good health is what all the hard work is about.

6 stages of Good Health –

– Physical

Good physical health is evident in people who are in a dynamic state of effective anatomical and physiological function including the circulatory, musculoskeletal, nervous, endocrine, and reproductive systems of the body.

– Emotional

Emotionally healthy people recognize and express feelings appropriately and have the ability to control and balance these feelings with the other health dimension.

– Mental

Mentally healthy people have a sound intellect, the capacity to learn and to absorb as one appropriately perceives the environment. This may also be called intellectual or cognitive health.

– Moral

Morally fit people have the capacity, regardless of the circumstances they might find themselves in,to consistently arrive at the best ethical decision possible.

– Social

Socially healthy people relate well with others, including friends, family, and other groups.Being comfortable around others at various stages of the life span is a hallmark of good social health.

– Spiritual

Spiritually healthy people are committed to a high level of faith or a belief system that provides a sense of meaning and purpose.

Good health is what the heart, the mind and the muscles are co-operating for.

  1. Achievement

Life is short and, to the best of our knowledge, we only get one of them. To not make the absolute best of that life is a colossal waste.

Success comes from character and success builds character.

If after a certain age you have not achieved much then your strength of character does come into scrutiny at that time.

Character isn’t an abstraction that exist up in the sky from the real world. If you are not successful then your character needs work,it requires some chiseling.

Now, i don’t know what’s success to you, it may be a lot of money, having a lot of girls, being famous, etc….Whatever it is you must be successful at it. And if you’re not, don’t be discouraged and keep chiseling your character.

Character is the means for transforming ideas into achievements. Character is what allows you to go from where you are to where you want to be.

Life achievements are very important because they indicate if you have been working in the right direction or not.

  1. Courage

Courage is the foundation and building block of all that you do in your life. Courage is the thing that gives you a platform to build on.

Every endeavor starts with the unknown. Every time you start something new, you’re at the very bottom. And it looks very daunting and haunting to look up from the absolute bottom.

It’s courage that gives you the ability and the capability to move from that position knowing that you’re going to fumble a lot, you’re going to make a lot of mistakes, face a lot of failures and suffer a lot of humiliation and rejection.

Courage is the root that allows you to grow. Courage is the understanding that if something is important to you or not.

Does that thing make you move or not? Does it gives you goosebumps or not? It’s not ignoring who you truly are and working on the real you regardless of whatever the world has to say about you.

Courage is the understanding that fear is not a fact it’s just a self created opinion. It’s understanding that fear is nothing once you have taken the first step.

Courage is the fire that reshapes your life.

Conclusion and last words of Wisdom written from the Heart-

Always do everything you can to make the most of the opportunities that has been given to you.

Seize your opportunity. Never let it go away from you. Because they’re very limited in numbers.

Take care and beware of all the clutter around you because sometimes the stuff that really matters can be buried under heap of useless stuff.

Don’t look at the outside world. They don’t mean much.

Those who look outside dream, those who look inside awake.

And always remember your roots.

Don’t let anyone out hustle and outwork you ever.
